Synesis, as a partner of the NARRATE project, is committed to promoting resilience and regeneration within the SMN supply chain. From the very beginning, our focus has been on transparent, smart, and efficient data management — an essential foundation for the project’s success. Drafting the Data Management Plan marked a crucial step, establishing standardized procedures for data collection, processing, and preservation, and ensuring long-term operational continuity.
A cornerstone of our approach is the adoption of the FAIR principles – Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable. These principles ensure that data is easily discoverable, accessible to all, and usable in an interoperable and reusable manner, thus fostering a collaborative environment that drives innovation.
To ensure reproducibility, we have implemented essential measures: standardized data formats, quality reports, and automated pipelines guarantee that analyses can be reliably replicated, enabling other organizations to benefit from the project outcomes.
The Data Management Plan goes beyond safeguarding data integrity — it represents a strategy for digital transformation and sustainability. By adopting an open platform model, we make source code, AI algorithms, and datasets available under an open license, encouraging result verification and further community-driven developments.
Additional insights from our analysis include the importance of accurate dataset classification, detailed documentation of preprocessing steps, and data versioning—key tools to ensure traceability and robustness in a complex, multidisciplinary project like NARRATE.
